k&n power up kit

does it help alot on a 300ex with the stock pipe. I need a new air filter so i might as well get on that suposoly improves performance buy 20%. any one have it and how do you like it. Should i run it with no air bow lid or cut holes in the lid? what patern of holes. n e one have a picture of vented air box lid?

hey, my brother bought a K&N power kit, and it helped his fourwheeler a noticable amount. It gave it a deeper tone and it gave more power. I think its worth it, the filter really helps. And he just ran it without the airbox lid, with the pre filter and everything, but i don't think its going to hurt anything without the airbox lid, just make sure to put the lid back on if you go through any mud or water. But i think its a good investment. He also gutted his stock exhaust pipe, that helped too. It sounded nice. But he ended up getting Big Gun exhaust anyway, that is a real nice exhaust system, looks good, sounds good, and gives a lot of power.
