Alright, what's the deal with twist throttling the quads? My buddy has a Zilla with a twist and it's sick. If you sneeze plan on grabbing a hand full of rear brake. I see it on a dirt bike, but isn't kind of nutty in the woods with a quad?

i personly i hate a twist throttle on a quad. its so uncomfortable for me

when i first bought my 300ex it had one on there and i thought maybe i could get used to this and i decied to try it for a year but i just got sick and tired of it so about 3 months ago i put a thumb back on.

I think it is just personal preference, one of the fasted guys I know that races MX uses a twist and I don't think you could convince him to use a thumb. I have seen a guy really mess his hand up with a thumb throttle when his hand slipped off the bar. I personally prefer the thumb throttle.

if ne1 is interested i would like to BUY a thumb throttle with everything to put on an 400EX. or if ya just got the thumb part and i need to buy the cable LET ME KNOW thanks josh

I have a complete thumb throttle setup off my 05 400ex. Its barely used, I was planning on just holding onto it in case I sell my quad someday. For the right price I will sell it though.

In regards to the topic, I switched to a twist and I love it, feels like I have more precise control. It could be that I have been riding dirtbikes all my life and I am just more used to the twist.
