Im been thinking about it and I want to build a super kicker ramp like the one freeride tech makes. I dont have a way to post a pic on here but heres the link to a pic:

http://www.freeridetechnology.com/ramps.htm

My question is, does anyone no the dimensions to this ramp, how far a gap there should be, etc. etc. Or do people not even use this type of ramp for quads?? Thanks ahead of time for any input.

www.fmxramps.com has rev 1 plans. you dont want a superkicker... especially to start out with. just a regular kicker would be plenty. superkickers are like what jon is doing the backy off of.

Yea I already have everything lined out for the Rev 1. I was just wondering if anyone used these ramps also cause it said the it gives you more airtime than the the regular comp ramp. But I probably wont worry about it if its pretty much only used for flippin. Thanks for the input.

unless you plan to flip, a super kicker is pointless. but i will say, funnest ramp to hit, scariest ramp to hit, and hardest landing of any ramp. from a distance it looks like a wall.... sooo i would suggest something around a freeride ramp, there angle by far is the best iv used..

hey, what if i take the rev 1 plans, and shorten them, will it still work the same?, and does anyone have plans they have used for a smaller ramp, for like 10-15 foot gaps?, im just starting out

Yea I dont plan on flippin anytime soon, still got a long ways from that. About shortening the plans, Im pretty sure if you change the measurements on one part of it, then you're also gonna have to change every other meaurement on it. I could be wrong though. If you are only jumping 10-15ft then If I was you I would not waste the time nor the money for that short a distance. Its not gonna be cheap to build a metal ramp and it also wouldnt take much time or dirt at all to build a jump for 10-15ft. But thats just my 2 cents. :D

If your jumping 10-15 you mine as well ride a BMX instead of a quad...

yeah, i suppose, ive hit alot of jumps on my dirtbike, but im just starting with my quad, and two of my cousins are starting on dirtbikes, so i wanted to make a nice kinda short jump, but yeah dirt will work i bet, plus i can just build a big one and slowly move it back away from the landing ramp right?, until i get to a longer jump

Hey its cool, everyones gotta start somewhere. What i recommend is building tabletops to start out, takes more dirt but for starting out you cant go wrong. You dont gotta worry about coming up short as much and whatnot. The other good is the that you can always make it longer, then when you get the distance you like, dig the middle out. But if you dont have good, or should I say big dirt moving equipment, your gonna get sick of making tabletops all the time.

here are the plans i drew and used for my ramp. Ive got my ramp pulled back to 30 feet now and its really nice you can hit me up on yahoo (rap71858) fi you want to know all the stuff on how i built it and the angles and exact measurements. here are the plans and a crappy pic of me jumping it

here are some plans for an 8 foot ramp but i would have never had enough dirt for a landing big enough so thats why i built a 5' ramp

Its 5'2" tall and I hit it in third but I got 18s in the back. With stock tires 2nd would work alright.

that wasnt me that was a buddy at a show, and i believe he was hittin it third 1/2, with all his mods on

Are you able to move the kicker back anymore and hit it faster, for more air time, or is it set pretty good with it where its at already?

12-02-2005, 02:39 PM
that was the last time we hit it untill just a weekend or 2 ago, and that was the farthest, it was a rough hit when u made first contact, but it was a good flight

I would say pry nothin over a 40' gap for that ramp. It needs to be a little longer.

12-03-2005, 07:53 PM
ya even tho it aint and akraix gap, we can do some perty good stuff with it if u would like me to post some tricks that we do on it i can.

i been making jumps 5-7 days a week all day (at less its raining) for 2 years now with only a shouvle. i cant no more cuz the ground is froze. i have to dig holes to get the dirt.

i started on singles then table tops and then one day hit a double. i didnt like big jumps or riding high wheelies a cupple years ago. then over the winter i jest had a dream on one night doing all tons of stuff n after that id try any thing with my quad.
i think harder when i sleap cuz i figered out a couple problums with my 400ex while sleaping and even one time back when i did school work i studdied my spelling lest in my dream and got a 100%

You must have dreamed that you got 100% because you spell most everything wrong in every post...
