what can i get for 4 grand

i dont know what i should get i want a fast quad im looking at 400ex but if u bore a 300 to a 330 it blows it away i do mostle trail riding and jumps what is the best quad i can get used under 4 grand

It's got an FMF pipe, DG nerfs, razr2 fronts, klaw rears, tag fat bars, brand new cycra handguards, fresh motor w/ a new clutch, new rear plastic, and some more stuff I can't think of. 300 with a 330 kit still is small tho. not the best for jumps till you aftermarket the suspention..

I would go with a 400ex, I bought mine for 3 grand. then get some front shocks, slip on exaust, air filter, handle bars, nerfs, tires, ( assuming that it doesent have this stuff on it already.)


if you do find a 400 with some stuf done to it, I would moastly look for suspention. once that is done then you should worry about power.
This is coming from the guy who has a 416 with pretty much everything done to it, but running stock rear shock, and elka rec series front shocks (no resiez) and it pretty much sucks... but it is fast.

For 4k a 400ex better have everything including aftermarket suspension. You can a get a stock 450R or YFZ for that price.
I sold my pimped 99 400ex for 3k.

no 400ex sells for 4,000. the moast one will sell for is 3,800. unless it is got a turbo or somthin.....

it matters alot aparently. because I have seen 400's listed for 3,800 at a altime high, but never seen 4,000.

you could get a yfz from the pa area. Quads seem to go fairly cheap in the tri state area. If you have 4 g dont get a 400ex, looks for a yfz or 450r. If you cant find either of those you could find a real clean suzukawicat 400 with a couple good mods

If 3800 is the highest you have seen an ex listed for, you must not look at the best bikes. I have seen many ex's for over $4000, and sell.

4 grand would buy a lot of hookers, lol you could have fun w/ that, lol j/k you can find about any kinda nice used quad for that price. For your own sake do not buy a Z KFX or DVX, buy you a worked 400ex, jmo

The Z is alot faster than a slowhundred ex....did you see any 400ex's at national before the 450 came NOPE only hooked up Z's

For 4200 you can get my set up 250r. About the only thing that is stock is the frame which is gussetted. I have about 12-13 grand in it.
