talk to county park...he has a 300ex (same as 250x basically) that is set up VERY well for for GNCC. You could race a stock bike and be competitve i think a guy last year raced a blaster with very few mods and did really well. I think his name was Marvera (Sp.) somethin like that. Here is my old 300ex it was set up pretty well also if u want some ideas...i raced harescrambles

Most places require a kill switch, nerfs would be helpful, as far as mods go take your bike out there and have fun. But sure you can be competitive if your are a good enough rider.

GNCC XC and Harescrambles are basically the same.

I havent ever raced a GNCC race, but from what I've seen they seem to be a little more "open", higher speed woods racing. The Missouri Hare scrambles are generally very tight with a few open areas on each lap.

I'm no expert on GNCC, but from what little I know about it, they are pretty much the same thing, different organization.

The MHSC races are usually 1h 30min then they close the gates and start timing you off the track.

Basically if you finish your 3rd lap at 1h 27min you start your 4th lap and take the time when you finish your 4th. Lets say its 1h 50min.

Another guy finished his 3rd lap and 1h 31min. They take his time, and he's finished.

Then they rank the times from lowest to highest for each number of finished laps.

The highest time in the 4 lap bracket beats the lowest time in the 3 lap bracket.

Most laps take 30 to 45 minutes each on average.

what kind of mods do most people run in a lower class. I wont be running against all 330's and 240's will I. I will race in the lowest level possible for me because im not sure how good i am.:(

Well if you get a kill switch and nerf bars you will be able to run with any quad in a hare scramble. I recommend going to a track and seeing how good you are first but you could run any class dealing with 330s and 240s because hare scrambles usually deal with a lot of trails and mud and you have a good machine for that kind of stuff. You would have a good chance of winning and Blasters aren't very good on trails so you don't have to worry about them.

Blasters are better for the woods than you think...If they are set up for it of course...

i had both blaster mx ready and 250x race ready i liked both both have there goods and bad considering a blaster rebuild is cheap and i never had problems plus it cost less money to get a fast engine on a blaster

me and my freinds thought we might get in to this a little. It would be fun. My freind wants a blaster and the other has a raptor 350. the one who wants the blaster has a trailblazer and he wants to race and the kid with the raptor doesnt know yet

Well in the Missouri Hare Scramble Championship series the "Sport" class is called the 2-3-4 class and it 2-stroke 201cc max, 4-stroke 300cc max

The rest of the classes are "open" perse' None have any hard CC limit. 4-stroke stock is obviously stock, but in the beginner series you could ride a $30,000 pro racer (quad not rider) in it if you wanted (for 1 year or finish top 3 three times.)

Most of the other organizations have a tighter ruleset (which is a good thing IMHO).

could a trailblazer rce in the same class as a raptor 350??

In Missouri.. sure.

The trailblazer is a sport (2-3-4) class quad, but the 350 Raptor/Warrior can-t race in that class.

But, you can both race in the Beginner, C, & B classes.
