Dan from DASA told me I could picture the valve work and dome, but not the port work.

All I have to say is that the entire head is a work of art. I wish I could picture the ports for ya, but I gave my word to him that I'd keep his port work a secret for him so that he can continue to pull every holeshot at every Pro race. WTG DASA.

look at how many angles on the valve seat. each angle is precise for maximum flow. This is the exhaust side with valves removed.

questions are encouraged,

This work is all DASA!!

Well, give Dan at DASA a call and ask him for yourself cause I would think it would be better if he answered those questions. You could always go to his DASA section here at ATVRIDERS forum, start a thread and ask him.

The thing here is that there are plenty of "port polishers" that only will last minutes after the engine is first started then disappears from the heat and detonation abuse the combustion has to offer. My point is that there is nobody even close to the level of port quality DASA can, even after the polish diappears the DASA performance remains.....

if you could only see the best part of the work- the intake port!

Thanks. More than looks to this is a work of art. The intake is technology taken from GM ;)

No wonder how DASA's heads pull 63rwhp on stock 450 bore,.... incredible..

smorris. you smile every ride now, don't you?

OH, you can never have too much work.... :D

what kind of increases are we talking, with DASA head/valve porting on a completely stock motor?

On Dans stock bore he is able to push from high 30's to low 60's with just top end work like porting, valve and cam

Austin

no, he can port your engine for woods racing so that you still have a good overall powerband

I'm jealous. I am wondering what kind of HP a stock 400ex would have with Dan's port work.....

I'm a DASA fan, but I think DASA might have to slap you for that.
Yes, just top end work......porting, valves, springs, retainers, cam, piston, pipe, ignition, and race gas.
Just those FEW things, and you to can have huge power gains.
What else can you do?:eek2:

But I'll say this, the little teaser on the head is pretty.
