I was told that you can not get a stock swingarm pc'd or else it would crack.Is this true??

i am really not sure y anyone would say it would crack. the swinger can for sure be pced.

the reason that some people say the swingarm will crack is not because of the actual powdercoat, its because of the baking. Some people say that it weakens the swingarm since its cast when its baking at like 350-400 degrees. I know some people say they did and and have had no problems others said theres cracked, the only thing is that we dont know if it cracked from riding hard or the baking weakened it

indirect heat of 400 degrees will not change the strength of cast aluminum or the usual grades of aluminum found in most auto/cycle applications. 400 degree temperatures will affect aluminum grades after 15 hours of continuous exposure but even then does not signifigantly weaken the metal strength.
