HRC kit is it worth it

i figure if you are into modding you will be getting both the cam and a pipe. i did the cam first. no real reason for it. the stock cam will probably hold you back a lot, expecially after you do have an exhaust. if i was getting one, i would get the cam kit. i would wait a little while for more companies to come out with exhausts for the 06 if it was me so i can research my options.

^^^I agree with that one. Although there might be better exhausts and cams available in the future...nothing has been proven yet. However...HRC is honda designed and I can vouch for it! :D I am sure you can get a lot of money back by selling what you don't need (later) on ebay.

The HRC kit is definitely worth it however if your riding style dictates you want more low end the hrc cam might not be the best. I loved my HRC cam since I have had it but racing xc I'm starting to notice the need for a cam that doesnt take away from the low end such as a hot cam stage 2.
You can get the hrc parts separately through different places (service honda I believe) The lid is definitely nice as is the intake. If your getting a pipe the end cap is useless and depending on the type of power your looking for the hrc cam may not be right

nom that the hrc kit for 06 come with a different header !can we just buy a slip-on like (curtis,white brother) and add the slip-on to the hrc header ?will it fit correct?

I would think it would becuase it has to mount up to the stock silencer and the aftermarket slip ons are made to work on the same headpipe the stock silencer uses.
