I raced at byron mx today , they had the brandon bracken memorial race today, most of u dont know who he was. He was one of my friends who died a couple weekends ago racing. Here are some of the pics. Im on the red 450r #331. I went 3-1 holeshotting both motos. Was leading the first moto and overshot a big double and went a little to far on a corner and Justin Medine #129 got by me. Medine is one of the fastest B class racers in the midwest and is moving to A class next year , so today was a test for me and im happy. He was right on my butt the whole race and it was really fun. Anyways here's the pics. I have permission from the owner of the site to use them.

Heres the pic of brandon bracken's quad and memorial that will be setup every race next year by his parents , he just moved to local pro ( A ) and was very fast, we all miss you brandon !

Nice pics, that quad track they have now is pretty fun. More of a laid out SX style track than the big track at Byron.

I remember I was there with the owner when the track was still in the works and he told me to go rip it up and test it out. Didn't work out too well.. I wrecked on my 2nd lap in 4th trying to rhythm through the whoops in the back :blah: :p Was going too fast for my own good I guess. That didn't stop me from busting heelclickers with badly bent stem the rest of the day on the big track though lol

Please say that the big track at Byron isn't bikes only now.. :( I haven't been there in a while but that was the talk last I heard over there. They had some real nice jumps like the 65 foot table and the 75ft triple step down or step up in reverse towards the back.

Did they make any new changes to the new quad track? I mean it's fun and all but it didn't compare to the big air of the normal track. Congrats on the holeshots and goin 3-1 :macho
I gotta make it out there sometime this fall if I can only get a break from school :ermm:

Ya they gave us quads the boot from the Legacy track so they gave us the hilltop track. Its not as big air but its deff. a quad track , nice and wide plus since its the quad track they LISTEN to us, we get to vote on how many laps we wanna race and other things, its nice to have people listen to your opintion in motocross when u ride a quad and its like 99% dirtbikes

Dang that sure does suck. I became the rider I am now on the other track. I remember starting out there when I was 15 on a stock 400EX knowing nothing at all about riding, next thing you know almost everything on my quad is aftermarket and i'm a pretty professed mx rider. It all happened for me on that track so I guess it had some sentimental value, just sort of dissapointing to hear :(

On a lighter note, I agree with you how they cater to the needs of the quads like they never did before. The lips of the jumps are more quad friendly with less ruts and dust than the other track. I haven't had the chance to race the hilltop track but I really want to. I was tearing that track up a couple times last summer pretty good with my riding buds. Where are you from BTW? I have to drive about 2 hours to get to Byron so it's a pretty decent haul for me.

It's in Byron, IL right next to the Nuclear Power plant :eek2: You can't miss it. Straight out of the Simpsons lol
I don't think i'm the only one who has ever thought of that place having a nuclear meltdown while trying to ride :blah:
