View Full Version : The mysterious bend...

Well I thought it was just my R but after seeing Moto49x's rebuild pics he has the bend to. Its a bend in the radiator, mine is like a clone of his. Here is a pic of his..

Any ideas on whats doing this? who else has this bend there?

no, this is your knees bending it in. Buy a new aftermarcket radiator and the sides are thick and billet like and will not fold up like stock rad.

mine has it on both sides - that bad.

believe that is where one of the fender braces hits??

As long as coolant isn't leaking out from the bent areas you're fine. If you race or ride hard this is bound to happen. All the 450r's that race mx around my way have the same bend.

ive seen on mostly mx quads prolly because when the lean way in the hit it>?? im not sure

yep mine is very slightly bent not nearly that bad, i got it like that it had to be rolled or somthing like into a tree or against somthing
