'02 250EX- just short of 100 hrs usage, original owner, always garaged or stored in an enclosed trailer....bought barely after 9/11 for 3900 at island cycles in staten island
has T-4 full exhaust, new Razr rears w/ .190 douglass wheels (22x11-9), UNI filter, no airbox lid, re-jetted carb, DG Alloy Nerfs....roughly 800 bucks in mods alone
always was religious about oil changes, switched to amsoil synthetic at 85 hrs (ran Honda GL-4 oil previously)
valves adjusted about 10 hrs ago
repacked silencer 15 hrs ago
rear end gear fluid changed 10 hrs ago
has some scratches on the plastics (was mostly trail ridden), and the axle is slightly bent from a recent trail mis-hap, but is still ridable. i may or may not replace the axle and the appropriate seals , depending on offers and how much free time i have. the bike is located in Jackson NJ , however I am at college at Daytona Beach, FL, so i am only at home in NJ so much. I will be home for the last week of november, as well as from mid december to early-mid January of next year.
the bike runs awesome, starts up EVERY time, and to this day it has NEVER left me stranded on the trails. i would not be surprised if this bike lasts for a very long time.
if you are buying this bike for a beginner rider i do have all of the stock parts.. depending on the offer i would consider re-installing them.
if you are considering a 250ex this is THE 250ex to get. it has just about all of the aftermarket goods you would want. i've seen and ridden alot of 250's and many of them squeak, etc from lack of maintenance. mine has no quirks , no noises that aren't pleasing to the ear, and runs like a champ day in and day out.
The ONLY reason why i am selling this bike is because i have decided to trade up for a YFZ 450.i have alot of expenses as a college student so as a result i have to sell some of my personal belongings in order to make ends meet.
I am setting the price as 2000 OBO, price is negotiatiable and money does talk, i am motivated to sell so make an offer.
as said earlier, bike is located in jackson NJ, for the time being i will not ship, however i am willing to deliver the bike or meet up somewhere in between.
