Stock a-arms and power coating

I have just pulled the wife's 400EX apart to go through the whole thing, and to power coat as much as possible. I am wanting to power coat the a-arms, but with the ball joints being unservicable, can the a-arms be cooked?

ive seen it done, and ive even done it. the ball joint isnt harmed, but the nylon locator/cushion behind the ball joint will become brittle and can lead to ball joint failure.

Is it possible to drill them for a zerk fitting to allow greasing?
