50cc 4 stroke motor?

Ok we bought a no name 50cc quad for our sons first year.
Before you all tell me it was a bad choice I already know that.
I too race local and GNCC.
We are currently starting to build a 70cc full blown race mini.

NOw back to my question is there anything I can do to this little 50cc 4 stroker to go a little faster?
He only has 5 more races but the new 70cc will wont be ready for a while.
It seems as if everyone is talking 2 stroke still.
I got out of racing my 250R and now a 450 person.
But all the minis are still 2 stroke.
Will there be an end to the mini 2 stroke and start to see mini 4 strokes?

bore that little sucker out. my buddy bored his out to a 88 cc and it halls butt. enough to make me 225 lbs lay flat on my butt.
