well, ive been wanting an ipod for a while. And i ahve some questions. I have Windows XP

1. I have limewire with a bunch of songs...will it work?
2. I also have more songs on My Music on Windows XP(used for roxio to burn CDs)...will it work.
3. What exactly is iTunes, how does it work and can i put the songs that i ahve now to iTunes.
4. Will the actual product come with all thats needed(mainly the right wires to put songs from computer to iPod)
5. Is the songs easy to keep organized(like if i want to change the name or if i have double etc..)

Thanks in advance!

I was told that the quality of the song is not as good on them if the song is not downloaded from iTunes? Is this true?

you can transfer any song you want from any downloader. like kazaa or ares. you just download them to i tunes then to your ipod. but certain songs dont sound that great. the quality isnt as good as a cd. but close.

Thats not the iPod's fault. Its the source. The iPod is capable of VERY high quality playback - the source is always the "bottleneck" on audio performance.

My entire library is recorded @160khz or higher. If I were to play both CD and MP3 side by side, you'd have a VERY, VERY hard time telling the difference. Actually I'd be surprised if anyone could tell.

if i were you i would try another companies mp3 ive had mine rebuilt 2 times for no reason at all. The baterries get crap only gettin about 2-3 hours of charge i had mine rebuild also if you get a ton of songs on it it will do weird things like freeze, skip songs and only play about 16 secs of a song them switch to next song ive also know people about 2 to 5 people that have had to get them rebuilt had baterie problems exc. just my opinion ... i have a 40gig and my mom has the mini
