Hello. I made my deal on an 03 300ex this evening and am supposed to pick it up in the morning so I figured I would introduce myself. I went ahead and picked up some oil and a filter for a service when I get it home with it. I got the faster yellow:D

I cant wait to pick it up. Im going to get it at 9am so me and my daughter will have all day to ride:) I have to do alittle work to it. I am going to service it and the guy has a twist throttle on it that I am going to take off and put the stock one back on. I also have to find a grab bar for the rear since it is missing.

This is my first sport atv. I used to work in cotton and put in 8 hour days on my utilities. I would run them for 2 years and rack up 500-600 hours and sell them for a new one. I havent had one in a few years and the fastest was a kodiac 400. Ive rode plenty of blasters and enjoyed them so I figured I would go with a sporty 300ex with the reliability of the honda 4 stroke.

Its an 03 stock except a k&n filter. It will probably stay that way since I blow all my money on my fz1000.

welcome aboard................ditch the K&N filter with the twist throttle. They work well in the sand............but suck at filtering the fine dust on the east coast. Thank me later.
The 300EX is a bulletproof bike. It will last for years if maintained well.

I was wondering about the k&n. I know with street bikes alot of times it will cause you to loose power instead of gaining. I may take it off and get a stock filter.
