i have seen a 250r rear end on a 250x before so i was wondering how to put it on a 300ex wich is almost the same as a 250x. so can some please tell me how to do it. i was goin to do a 350x rear end but it wouldnt be an improvement over the stock swinger.

First off, a 250r has linkage, a 300ex is a no link, so there is no way it could be done without heavy modifications.

the 350x rear end is +1.25

I know this is an old thread but no reason to start a new one. So if you use a 350x swinger on a 300ex you can use the 350x shock with no problems. no mods or nothing just bolts up or what? and can you use another shock that is the same length, you know maybe an aftermarket 350x shock or something.

You can use a 250r rear end all you have to do it make the shock mount a little wider, and weld on a peice to accept the linkage.

The 350x rear end I believe you have to use a 250r bolt, and you have too use a few washers, the shock works as well, but you can't use a 300ex shock or anything else unless you make a new mount on the swinger, someone on here used a raptor shock with there 350x swinger, I forget who though.

Well if you have someone that can weld, then its an easy swap, you need the entire rear end, and you must have someone weld on a mount for the linkage, and your shock mount will need to be widened.

Yes you can bolt on a 250r swingarm on a 300EX. I got one bolted up on mine right now. Just got lucky and got a lonestar that dosn't need a linkage. LUCK!! but get a swingarm that dosn't have a linkage.

Yep! like i said thought get a swinger that is no-link. Is really soft with stock shock. But would recommend getting a better shock. Like a 250r shock or aftermarket 250r shock.
