going to sandiago to see aircraft carrier

well my dad just told me that him, my grandpa, and my 2 uncles are going to san diego to see this air craft carrier, and im going along:D they said its 3/8 of a mile long which is amazing that it floats. i cant wait, its going to be a once in a life time chance for me to see somthing like this. the best part is, my grandpa is paying for it all which is even better. seeing as he is really wealthy its pennies for him. but just thought id share, im stoked:devil:

Thats rediculously long. Is it some new class of aircraft carrier, or is a standard Nimitz? Is it longer than most?

EDIT: A Nimitz class(the ones they currently use) are just barely over 1/5 of a mile long. Wtf is this thing????
