k and n problems

i put a k and n on my 250x and removed the air box. But now she bogs like a mother in the low gas of each gear. But after i ride her for a while she doesnt do i any more? Any one now what i should do. the carb is jetted if that helps i dont know what to?

i have a k&n on my 300ex, and i took the airbox off, and it runs sweet!!!

You may have jetted it after the mods but the jetting is not correct..sounds like your getting too much gas...you need to rejet again.

So i should go with a smaller jet size?

too much gas = too rich, so you need to go down in jet size, probably the pilot jet according to your problem. you may need to lower your needle also, but you're probably going to have to play around with it a little to get it right.

also, you might have your k&n oiled a little too heavy. that will cause it to run like crap.

lastly, just a mistake that can happen, make sure the choke is not partially on.
