When you want to bump - there's one word that does the trick without confusing the issue --- bump

Are you sure he needed a bump 2 minutes after he posted his initial question?

Doesn't the lead help to soften the valves impact when they seat against the head again? I thought I remembered hearing that dont know if its true or not though?

Leaded gas is fine, and 110 will work with the compression. Lead is good for the valves, softens and cools them. Is easier to dial in the jetting, the unleaded pump crap just dosen't show.

I would say yes.

I know this is off topic but shamisc if thats your 450 in the little picture can you post pictures of it for me, cause it looks real nice!!!Or pm me the pictures.

the lead also helps to stabilize the fuel for higher compression applications. helps to prevent pre-detonation

the lead by nature is heavy, this also helps hold the octane together on the atomic level. this is why it handles compression better before it preignites.

in performance engines, preignition is as we all know, BAD, so lead is good.
