Well I got laid off my autobody gig and all the guys that I painted bikes for while working there have contacted me and want me to redo their bikes this winter, I have almost 5 harleys to do!

I can do custom paint, motors and anything inbetween.

I have my brothers sportster that I am building a jims/my motor and a wide glide front end, ghost flames matching frame etc. just for starters!

I've wanted to do this since I was little and now that I have the knowalge to do it and the demand and I just got laid off I figure the best time is now.

I am open for any name ideas! any help would be good! :D

I also have 2 american iron horse choppers I can park outside to draw people in

This is my brothers sportster I have done so far, copper melt paint, west coast choppers fenders, tear drop tank, 1200 motor, chrome and wheels etc. 200 tire kit and the list goes on..

do what ever name you want, just dont use the stupid maltese cross or what ever for your logo... just about every other bike shop uses that thing

I'm deff not using a cross or anything, I drew up a little baby demon leaning against a rock not to long ago, if I can find it I wanna fine tune it or draw another

Las Vegas is widely known as Sin City, so I don't think I would use that.

The demon will definately go with Sin City customs, I don't think people are going to think he is a poser. Just my opinion!

Well here is my 2 pennies. Don't get a name for your business. Do you have a shop set up, do you have banking accounts set up, tax id, and on and on getting your own business. Just design a nice business card with your name and contact information, and put together a portfolio with pics of your work from start to finish, and put together a nice web page. Start small and dont rush into it or invest a lot into it until you know it will take off. If you need a name I suggest you use some simple like J.S. Custom Paint this will not just lable you as a bike painter, you could do cars and such......
Sorry for being so long best of luck

Usually when you license things they have you put your business name on the paperwork. You need one for a bank account, because most people will feel iffy about putting just your name or CASH on their checks. But good idea with the J.S. Custom paint, for being able to keep your options open on what you can paint.

I gotta agree with jwick not to mention if you use a name w/ choppers in it people are going to think your a bike builder and not a painter. As for the Sin City name theres alread a Sin City Custom Choppers here in Vegas. Just a FYI. For a name how about something like Prismatic Custom Paints? Just a thought I had my prismacolor colored pencils in front of me.
