I have an 04 450.

These are my planned mods
HRC Kit with Cam
PulseCharger or Rossier full exhaust
HH 12.25 Piston
K&N intake
ESR Rev Box.

Anyone see anywhere i can make improvements?

Deff go with the Rossier. I put mine on last week and it allows me to run a 14 front sprocket instead of the 13. I only have the HRC kit to go with it, but its awesome and not that load either and I dont have the sparky yet.

Foam filter for sure, and a Vortex or Dyna FS cdi.

hrc kit is a good thing to have

most exhaust pipes make the same hp

as for the piston, i would go with a JE instead of HH, i have been hearing about some reliability issues with the HH, i believe they are still in the R&D stages with that piston, that is why i would go with the JE

the K&N is also a good thing to have

as for the rev box, i would go for a vortex instead of the ESR, you will gain adjustable power curves, and have a more tuneable CDI unit then the ESR will provide you with

I agree foam is the only way to go, if you care about your engine !

The K& Ns let too much dirt in!

What is a sparky?

What is a good foam filter?

I would also stay away from the HH pistons, although I have had no personal experience I have seen enough proof to stay away. Also the HRC kit is OK but your really just buying a $300 cam. Buy a hotcam stage 2 or something similar instead and you should be set.

I'm interested in hearing/seeing this "proof" that you've seen.

Like he said, they are like in the R&D stages of piston development. Some people have problems, some don't. I think that they're going in the right direction with the technology of the HH. I will hold off until they get the kinks worked out. Until then, I'm getting a 13:1 JE.;)

On the other hand, STAY AWAY FROM K&N's!!!! You'll be rebuilding before you know it! They let way too much dirt in! Uni makes the best foam filters IMO. But, I don't see anything wrong with the stock one. Plus you can buy a new stock filter for about $12. Aftermarket filters don't make a noticeable power difference at all ! You can barely notice it on a Dyno. I have 2 stock filters, one in use, and one that's clean, oiled, and ready to go!;)

i just feel as tho this being a new piston, they still need to do R&D to make it right, such as the ring end gap etc, im just not ready to buy something that im 100% confident in, when i know that the JE will be 100% right

im not saying the HH is bad, im saying that im not 100% sure it will function properly, and that is y im not buying one at this time, maybe when they get them a little more perfected ill be ready, but until then im sticking with JE

My definition of proof might be different than yours, but I guess what I mean to say was that I've seen/heard of enough problems that I wont be buying one. That is just my opinion.

ive only heard problems from people that didnt gap the rings correctly. when they were professionally installed i have seen no problems.
