t-4 how loud?

how loud is the pro circuit t-4 pipe compared to the stock pipe for the 400ex. is it like double the noise?

I'll tell you this this place we hang out at which is a friend's place he has a field with track going around it that we ride on which is fun. well our friend with his t-4 slip on on his 400 pissed off the neighbors across the street while he was riding around the track. the guy that lives there over across the street came over and said that it is loud that he can hear inside his house while he is watching tv and also said he could here while he was cutting grass. but i like the pipe it has a nice deep growl to it. and also i guess the quiet insert for it would calm the noise down that's what my friend needs on his bike. later madmike

The T4 is LOUD.. great pipe for the money, but loud (like most aftermarket pipes..)

I had one, cause me to much grief so I traded it for an FMF PC-IV Q (which I like very much)..

I miss my T4, but the neighbors don't :D

I had the quiet core insert, didn't help much.. Waste of $20 IMHO.

the way i see it is, if it will pass tech inspection, then its not too loud. you should always have a spark arrester wich helps a little and if the motor is near stock, try the 1.5 inch tip for better low end than the slightly louder 2 inch. you can tell a "seat of the pants" difference in power delivery and the 1.5 inch tip is noticealbly quieter
