well i finally talked a friend into buying quads for him and his son so they can ride with my son and i.
what would be a good quad for a 9yr old kid? was thinking a 90, but seems like he would outgrow that fast. i got my 6yr old son a 50 and he has quickly outgrown it.

i would get a predator 90 and then later modify it. Im 15 and i raced a modified pred 90 for a year just to get expernce and im glad that i did. So i think that it will be fine. there are also many aftermarket companys that make parts for it when he does outgrow it.

i would say a lt80 or pred 90. he will outgrow it fast but he needs to start at a small quad. After he gets good enough he can step up to a blaster. he could get a blaster now if he had enough experience (wich by the sounds of it he does not) but i think he needs to start on something smaller. i dont know much on the predator but the lt80 i know a lot about. it will also depend on what kind of riding you do as to what quad to pick.

Unison Desert Cat 90cc is also a great machine. They also come with a 1 warranty now on Parts & Labor, they are very confident in them, that beats most warranties by 6 months. We have them on sale for $1550 shipped to your door. www.kidatvs.com

My 9 sister has been riding our 400ex no problem. They will never out grow that bike.

Yeah I guy I know started his 10 year old on a Raptor! He siad that he wanted him used to speed and power. The kid actually did pretty well on it. Now he is one of the best quad riders around. I though he was crazy but it actually worked.

The two choices I would choose from are definately the LT80 and the Predator 90. I know the Suzuki LT80's are litteraly bulletproof and a great quad to learn with.

250ex would be a perfect choice because he would be able to ride that for atleast 5 years and then maybe step up to a 400 or 450 or w/e they have then.

trx 90. plenty of pull and when he outgrows it you will get your money back (honda is highest resale value....check it out) also if you get a 250 and he is scared of it its not going to be much fun when you have to stay in the open fields for the first year. you could go get the 90 rappy or the zuki 90 im sure they will both be cheaper than the honda.

My dad bought me a trx90 when I was 6. I rode it until I was about 11 at which point my sister inherited it after I got my 250x. I still ride it every now and then. It is very dependable. I rode the crap out of it and the only things that have had be to replaced so far are rear tires and clutches due to neutral to 1st wheelies. They handle great for what they are and they are now making alot of aftermarket parts for them. But, as long as the bike is dependable and the kid fits on it, you can't really go wrong.

I would say Blaster. He/she needs to get used to a clutch and start off sorta big. I started on a Honda 200SX when I was like 7. I think starting off big like that helped me a lot later on.

Plus, a Blaster has a very good response to mods. If the kid gets tired of it there are cylinder kits so you don't have to buy a whole new quad, just upgrade the one they have.

My brother is 5 and has a predator 90, Its a great quad!! We got it for him bcuz he first had a pred. 50 that wasnt fast enough for him, so than we got him a 50 dirtbike that he didnt like so we traded it in and got a predator 90!!! Its a lil fast quad, 2 stroke(even better), its pretty powerful for a lil quad and very fun, It has better suspention than any other quad, if ur son likes to jump like my lil brother!!:)
