engine issues

Yesterday during practice my engine on my 440ex started puffing smoke out the side. I think I blew a gasket. But i dont understand why. any input on this would be helpful.

did you get heavier head studs when you made it a 440? If not it more than likely pulled them out a little from all the pressure.

the compression is 11:1 and it has the upgraded studs.
