250x motor or parts [Archive]

looking for a motor to fit sons 87 250x. bought it last year w/no 3 gear rode all summer till it jumped time,started tearing into it broke the tensioner and then seems the piston started hitting the plug while turning over by hand.so I decide to look for a motor that is reasonably priced or Ill haft to send this one to a shop for some major work.anyone who could help me on a motor for this quad or some parts would make my kid real happy.as he said all he wanted was his quad running again for his 14 birthday..Thanks

I have one with third gear out also, would like to sell it due to the fact that we put a 350X motor in. I own a shop and we do engine work all of the time so I can fix it first. Give me a call if interrested. 1-616-988-1315

i got a 300ex enigne for sale its built up but maybe 50 hours on this whole engine since it was new at the shop and it is stock bore built for reliability

its from a 2001 i am parting out whixch like i said has 50 hours since new at factory. i have pics so you can see how clean it is

also this will bolt right up in a 250x frame no mods same engine just bigger bore,

i am looking for $800 i got alot into the engine

also i can put it back tostock have all parts to do so

check ebay this search this guy he has all sorts of 250x parts i mean all sorts he'll have what you need his name is stevo2330 just search that and tell him patrick sent you ;)

I have an 87 250x motor I just pulled out. All it needs, that I know of, is a new cam chain. We put everything together and it would run until the cam chain would jump off the cam. My pm inbox doesnt work on here so email me at uncleripper04@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Thanks every one with replies Curless has quoted me a price for a motor he has,but Im still waiting for him to get back with me on the shipping price.Also I still am looking for a muffler for this quad{sold the other one as it was way too loud}also would still like a timing chain and the adjuster for it.Also has no rear brakes the rear disk still on but all the rest was removed by prev. owner..Thanks
