i have a choice should i either get the 05 450r race ready or a stock 06??

Depends.. what are your plans?

Duning, XC B/C, XC A/AA, MX, TT, Recreational Woods.

XC B/C & Woods I'd say go with the pre-built '04.
XC A/AA I'm assuming not an issue.. as you'd already know what you need.

The rest.. I'd look at the '06 depending on your budget for mods.

Also, what do they mean by "race ready". I've seen a LOT of "race ready" quads I wouldn't take anywhere near a track.. lol. Stickers and Tires don't make it race ready. ;)

im starting mx and i know the mx parts fro quads like shocks motor work and all the stuff im just confused on wht i should get

I also think go with 06 it already has the better carb, motor, higher compression, electric start if you desire, etc....
