Air Scoops

I was looking at a set of air scoops for my air cooled Honda 400ex. Do these things even help or are they more of a fashion statement?

My engine as of now is bone stock and will be bone stock, the only upgrades I am about to start is a new exhaust, air filter/ air box cover, jet kit.

NIce bike and thanks for the reply, does the performance increase/ cooling ability outweigh the cost it is to buy one?

the bike has only been run once since i built it abd only by my girl so i cant say. they look good tou:D :D

I run the OMF scoops on my 400...but its not even close to being a stock motor. I do believe they help....but nothing crazy. I think for the most part its a looks thing, not so much performance gain. If your 400 is stock...you will be fine without them;)
