I bent my rear axle riding today and my dad looked at it and told me it would cost 300 dollars to fix and now I'm really upset. I plan on getting it fixed at the Honda dealer but Don't they overcharge you to get things fixed? and would it be fixed faster and cheaper if I went to another place like a place called Cycle Pro Racing, which is a shop for parts fixing quads, etc?

I was thinking it could be fixed without he price going ovr 100 or 145 dollars.

Can someone give me an estimate on how much it would normally cost and would if be fixed faster in which of the two places or would it take the same amount of time to be fixed?

Tell me if you have had any experience with bent axles. And how much did it cost and did you get it fixed at honda?

I bent the axle on my old 250ex once. It cost me around 300 for the axle and about 400 for labor. Say good bye to ur christmas presents. I'd start crying now.

axles are easy to replace, and there are plenty of parts on ebay. also, for 200 you can get an aftermarket gforce axle. you could also try straightening it, but i wouldnt recommend it

/if you really need to have someone do it and live in south jersey call Dags powersports. You might want to think about doing your bearings too while you have it out.

I can't find any way to figure out the price of a new stock axle.

I don't know the part number so i can't do it. And i tried bikebandit.com and they don't even list the axle on there!

I need some help, figuring this out!

Also if you know the part number please tell me it.

Links not working but if you go to bikebandit.com and look under rear drive it shows the axle for $126

on most chain driven bikes axles are easy to change, sometimes they get wedged in there and you need to beat them out with a big sledge. I've never done one on a 250ex, but I'm told its a pain.

The 250EX is a totally different beast since it's shaft drive. changing the axle out is a major PITA. Plan on spending some time changing it out. The axle is the cheapest part if you have someone else do it. the labor is gonna kill you.
