OK just a half hour ago i hit a bump that i didn't see and hit it in like third gear. And now I have a less than smooth riding quad. My tire is wobbling but i don't know wether its my hub or my axle!

My hub doesn't look bent and my tire is still holding air so I'm guessing its my axle.

I think its my axle but i can't tell. Its bent very little i think so, now I'm wondering on how much money this is going to cost!

If it is my hub how much would it cost and if it was my axle how much would it cost?

Have any of you had any experiences like this and did it cost a ton to get it fixed?

I found out that it was my axle and I want to know and estimate on how much it would cost to take the old axle off and put the new axle on at the Honda Dealer.

My dad said like 300 dollars but i really really really hope its not that much!

I was thinking around 100 130 dollars. but not that much!!!:ermm:

if u have the honda dealer take off ur old axle and put you on a new one it will be atleast 300 dollars. taking the axle off isnt that big of a deal. take the hubs and wheels off and then drive the axle out.

and if you can find a wider and stronger axle. youd be amazed how much better your 250 would handle with a wider rear end.

$199 for a G-Force axle, put it in yourself, and have a upgrade in the process.

g force doesnt make an axle for the 250ex. durablue is the only after market company that makes them.

so its a new stocker, or a durablue and they're like 280-300 bucks from what i remember...

dont take it to your dealer theyll charge you a ton of money and its like a half hour job just get a service manual and do it your self i would reccomend a durablue but if you want a cheap stocker ive got one that i would sell for real cheap (its comin with the new rear end) pm me or talk to me on aim quadguyphil. good luck gettin your quad back together straight

Bending it back would delay the inevitable. Mine bent, i bent it back, and its just pliable now. Sometimes i will look down and its bent a lil, then its fine, then bent... lol.

Get a stock axle or get a bigger bike. All the weight of the swingarm, rear end gears, and brake assembly hammers the axle everytime it lands, so its just gonna bend another one eventually...:ermm:
