400ex prob.

I have a 400ex and i blew it up awile back i jus got it rebuilt with a 416 kit and when i start it up it only hits every now and then it wont stay started. It was running fine till i blew it up, and since i rebuilt it, now it doesnt run right. Any help will be appreciated.

check your cam timing. don't forget to clean the screen out that is located in the oil tank or you will starve it for oil and blow it up again. aslo did you place the gap in your rings correctly.

valves adjusted wrong ? mine were when mine was rebuilt sounded horrible

It sounds like the timing is off.
