does anyone know if you have to run hardened rockers when going to a sparks aggressive drop in cam?

Im not positive but if you had to do that it wouldn't be a "drop in" cam

No just put it in and adjust valves and rip it! I have that cam and like it alot.

their is only one rocker on the 450r and it is much better then the 400ex ones were. you should pretty much never have to hardweld it.

What are you going to hard face?

The inlet lobes run on buckets, so theres nothing you need to hard face there.

The exhaust rocker is a roller type. So theres nothing you can hard face there.

Sounds like some one has been telling you about a differant engine. Not a TRX450r.

unless you go with a super high lift cam and need to "hardweld" the rocker arms to keep them from flexing or breaking. Not the roller odviously but the arms between the rollor and valve tips. Otherwise I dunno.;)
