actually I do jump it quite often. my record is like 5 ft long and about 2 ft high. I gaurentee that is higher than anyone eltse on this site has gone on somthing made in 1968, lol. the handle bars mounts always snap off from impact...

it is a ski doo olympique 299, made in 1968. I actually took it for a rip today across the lawn... ha ha. thing fired up on the 4th pull. for beeing nearly 40 years old w/o a rebuild in at least the last 10years, on a 2 smoak engine.. that is pretty darn good.

The sled is a ski-doo formula 3 .... I guess its a 800 but i didnt think they made them ??? He really doesnt know what it is ... at first he said mach 3 800 then i said it cant be .... so he went out and looked at it and called me back and said it was a formula 3 .... But im going to look at it in a few hours .... he wants to trade me for my 250x thats in peices ....

f-3 is a good slead. they are a bear to start when it is cold out. things to check are the track moastly, then everything eltse is pretty much maintance. when you get it, first thing you want to have done is have the clutches cleened. maby event install a cluch kit. having cleen clutches makes a world of a diffrence. a 670 can beat an 800 if the clutching is bad in the 800 and the 670 has a clutch kit.

i've seen people ride sleds on dirt, what all do you have to do to set them up for it?

I go to the grass drag races all the time. all you need to do to run on grass is start er up and let er rip. just keep an eye on the engine temp, because things heat up fast.

some ppl run skis w/ wheels on the mini-z's and stuff. but not on the bigger sleds.

just keep an eye on the rocks also, one rock can cause some damage fast.
