Key Switch

hi everyone, i just got a new 05 450r a couple of weeks ago and it runs great but being the idiot i am i broke the ignition (the thing the key goes into) when i was puting in my new walsh steering stem. first i thought o man how am i going to start this now? so i just pop the coupler off the harness and it fired right up! my first question is can i leave it like this and ride untill i get a new key and and key switch? it starts fine and runs good but will this cause some thing to short out? i know it will be easier to steal, but i want to ride tomarrow!

Your fan and Temp light will not work if you take out the switch at the harness.

I have aftermarket handlebars and riser and i just leave my key on and tape it under the hood, do if it broke in the one position i say just leave it and call it good.

just install a tether killswitch in place of the key, very simple

dont plan on doing any night riding because your lights wont work if harness is unplugged, i tried that already man

And.....Wire the red and black wire together so the fan still works

Thanks for the help guys. I wired the kill switch as the key and made sure to cross the red and black wires so my fan will work. i race MX so not having a key is ok. Thanks again :D!
