Smokes alittle after start up?

On my 426, When I start it up the first time for the day it smokes a little bit for like 5 minutes after being started. Could it just be that it is cold?

i heard thats caused by the valves. but the 400ex i have smokes a little after start up.n it jest got rebuilt n valves ajusted. so maby thats what 400ex's do.

Yeah mine has a fresh rebuild on it too. I just hope it dosent hurt anything.

if it has just been rebuilt, it may do that a while until it gets broke in. Otherwise old valve seals or worn valve guides usually will cause that problem. That allows oil to leak down on top of your piston, and the smoke is when it is burning the oil off.
