Mx gearing

What you guys gear your quads for MX i am going to be placing an order for stuff to finish my rebuild and need new sprockets. and was wondering what size front and back sprockets you have with 18" rear tires.

stock gearing feels pretty sweet to me on 18's

yeah i think stock gearing on 18's feel good to me also...with a stock engine. i havnt tried 18's with my pipe or anything cause i race XC

i ran the smaller front sprocket with 20" XC tires, and it worked well for the woods but deffinatley put a hurt on the top end speed.

we thru on mx tires and went back tos tock along with a new exhaust and the b!tch ripped:macho

i agree stock sprocket with 18s

On the 06 the gearing is 13/38
04/05 is 14/38

If i raised mine a tooth would it be the same or is the transmission set for the 13 on the 06?

I run stock with 18's and I'm thinking of trying out a 15 tooth counter shaft sprocket.

i ran 15 37 gearing with maxxis razrs for most og my race season and i LOVED IT. not much shifting and it still pulled non stop.
