Whats the chances of me on my 400ex beating a predator if they are both stock??? I weigh about 135 and he weighs about 260-280? riding skills i think im a little better and people say he's not very good but who knows what they say about me.

I dont know. I would say if both riders are the same the predator would most likley win due to more top end. If im correct the predator has 6 gears i think. But if that guy on the predator is heavy and can't ride all that great you could have a good chance.

if your on the track it would be a toss up i think cuz a predator doesn't have to bad of a low-mid power i dunno about stcok but i no with some mods it doesn't so jus race him and you'll find out but in a drag i'd say your probably gonna lose cuz 400ex's aren't very fast so...

The predator will mostly likely beat you. Buy a 450r and then you will have nothing to worry about!

How long is the drag?

Its a drag about an 1/8 on pavement some people i talked to said that i absolutely have to get a good start to have a chance but it is possible. I race tomorrow so I will try to get video and pictures. Im worried but maybe i will pull it off

I ride with aguy that has a 05 troy lee with a slip on pipe, cdi, kn, modded carb.

I have stage 2 hotcam, velocity intake, 10:1 wiseco, 16 tooth fornt sprocket and i can't run with him in adrag race at all. Now in tight trails I can.

The Video will come soon. It seemed like I was going to bring home a red for the Hondas. Then right before i shifted to third he blew by me and it was all over. I got a hellacious jump on him off the line then he just had more power after that. When we raced on the dirt acouple of times it was just dumb for me to try. But we agreed on pavement we both had a flawless race. I guess its time to start dumping money into mine.

I just got in from riding all day. I got smoked all day long, no chance in hell of keeping up. We switched machines and its like switching from a model A to a Porsh.

I say your gonna have to dump crap loads of cash into yours to even come close and you better hope he doesn't decide to do any mods himself.

Yeah its not even close any time on the dirt and we are just eating dinner then going to hit some more jumps but he just puts it to me if he ever cracks the throttle. Oh well Im not going to try an beat any more predators. The only predator i know i can beat is a predator 90cc.:D

I would say in drag race he is going to beat you but in the woods with equal riders you can take him.

Off the line, my 426ex could pull my ole mans preddy off the line to 3rd gear, then it was over ... :o :p

MY Honda is alot more nimble and doesnt over spin in the rear ,but the Preddy had more top endand was faster . I never rode with it side my side when I got my 440 but its like comaring apples to oranges...

It was a blast to ride though!

Do you really think you can out perform a machine that has around 12 more hp stock? Better suspension? Stock vs stock there is no way.

Only a better rider will be able to outperform it.

i agree with smokinwrech, this was all discussed in another thread, its all rider.

stock for stock, the predator could easily beat the 400ex, but with some mods, the 400 could hang in a short drag.
