throwin the 400 carb on the 300, anyone who has this done... what do u have for main jet and needle setting? and mixture screw. thanks
300ex has K&N, hmf slip, and will be opening the lid up

come on guys... i know alot of you got this!!
i got the carb on and it runs best when the needle is in the richest positon, its a dynojet needle.
main is 122 and shoots flames, bogs at wide open,
idles like ****. has a 40 pilot 2.5 turns out..
suggestions? thanks

start with a 155 main jet, needle in the middle or one slot up and play with the fuel srew it depends on the temperature and the altitude and stuff so just play with it till you get it right !!!
i had to change the pilot jet cuz my pipe had a lot of flow or no back pressure at all, i put a 48 pilot but you could put a 42 if you cant get the fuel screw to work perfectly(32 pilot jet is stock).

stock 400ex pilot is 38, this has a 40 in it now.
155 main, aright ill try that, and the needle in the middle ill try that thx
shooting flames is cool. my 400ex used to blow 1 foot flames every 3 sec's.
but i have a carb n jet kit for sale if u want it 100 shipped

maybe, but that means it wasnt jetted properly
