what do you guys think...if I am going to get a big bore should I go with Nmotion 520, FST 500, or ESR 480. Which one is going to have the most power and yet be the most reliable. I don't really care how much it will cost, money is no problem. I was going to get the ESR 480 but the post on this site was for the most part not very favorable. I will be doing this motor work this winter. Any help would be appreciated.

how about non of the above.

send your cylinder out and get it bored to your piston. There are a few different pistons available for the 480s. Not many for the 500+ crowd that i am aware of.

I will have my DASA ported and assembled 480 back within a few weeks, can let you know if your wanting to check out the performance of 480s

I run the fst 500 kit. I've got over a year on it with no problems. When I did the 500, I just ordered the piston and gasket set for$255?? and had my existing cylinder bored and plated by millinium.
In the near future, I'm going to upgrade to DASA's 500 kit. This is a new cylinder, not a bored stocker. The only reason I'm going to switch is to go with the 13.5:1 comp piston. To me I like the 500's. To each his own..........

I'm curiuos about the DASA kit. My local dealers informed me that they make a 510 kit. 12:1 or 13.5:1 new cylinder, piston, gaskets, bolt in kit. For a mere $800 and a little labor it sounds sweet. They said I should run race gas, but I would prefer to stay on pump gas.

Any help or comments would be great.......

I believe the 480 kits are the meal ticket.

You can go with the Esr 480 kit, Athena 480 kit, or the Vcp 480 kit. Either one of these are a good choice. I would recommend no more than 12.5:1 compession and run a high durration cam if you are wanting to run pump gad only.
