Will 250r a arms work on a 400ex ?
If so any mods to do this ?

yeah they fit, but the upper ball joints sit at a greater angle and put more pressure on the joint, i would just go with 400ex a arms if you can.

The mounts on the frame are a little differant, but they can be made to work.

so does this mean that 400ex a-arms will fit on a 250r?

The width, between the pivot bushings, of the 400ex lower arms is almost an inch wider than the 250R. The 250R a-arms will not work on a 400ex.

they are all interchangable as of mounting up. The 400ex and 250R a-arms are essentially the same except for the 86R a-arms they used bushings instead of spherical bearings. I have 87 250R a arms on my 87 250x and one of my buddies has 400ex a arms on his 87 250x. The only thing you need off of a 300ex or 250x would be the bushings on the outside of your arms. You may need to use the stock ones from your machine. THere you go, later.

ps there is no fabrication or modifications to the a arms themselves to be used.
