I got all that info on this site, cam by cam as people posted their specs. Your welcome.

I got the HRC cam because, first it is Honda. When I put it in I only had to adjust my rockers like .001" from where they were.

Second no hardweld rockers are required.

And Third, which goes back to first, I figure Honda knows how to get the most out of their engines and the HRC seems to be a great blend of torque and high-end HP.

My buddy has a Powroll 440 stroker motor with the big 479 Web cam and my 400 with the HRC and a standard bore 11:1 high compression piston from Namura can still beat him an a drag race across the field every time. And I weight about 20 lbs more than he does.

cool thx alot i have been thinking about that setup. i wanted to put in that Namura 11:1 std bore in, it looks trick but i had never heard about them. is that piston cast or forged? how does it look?how long have you had it? any problems? any smoke from the rings? and is the hrc cam loud? i heard the hot cams tick a bit. or do they all do it ? i also feel honda knows how to make a honda run. thx for the great info. robert:)

The HRC cam does not tick any more than the stock setup.

As far as the Namura Piston, it looks every bit as good as the standard Honda piston as far as quality goes. No where in the literature that come with the piston does it say whether it is cast or forged.

MMy bike does not smoke at all and I have not hhad any problems with the piston/ring setup what-so-ever. I used a standard Honda Head gasket though, not the one that came with the piston/rings/gasket kit that I ordered. The Honda gasket is metal and the one that comes with is fiber.

While you've got the head off you might want to clean up the casting marks inside the intake and exhaust ports. You can also match up the intake manifold to head fit, mine was way off.
