ok, so i recently purchased a burgard chrome antivibe +1 stem. got it all mounted up, ready to go, looks sweet! feels great! I go to turn my handlebars, and now both my rims hit the lower a arms before the stops on the stem!!! what the F is goin on here? left turn, left rim hits left bottom a-arm. stock front rims and stock arms and tierods. has anyone had this problem? and if so, whats the solution? the frame, nor the stem has been ground down on the stoppers.

where did you buy this stem? i know it didnt come with the correct bushing, and it sounds as if they(whoever sent it) shipped you possibly a stem for a 250r. is the stem stop square, or is it triangular?

i dont' like my burgard stem one bit. it flexs WAY too much and the upper bushing sucks IMO. i think there's way too much play and flex. when i'm racing i like a hard, solid feel. i feel the stem bending and flexxing when i take hard corners or throught the whoops or a hard landing. if anyone wants one, i'm selling mine and getting an stock size stem.

how bad do they hit? are the stops touching when they hit?

the stops barley touch as the rim hits the a-arm...almost simutaneously. i think what i'm gonna do is adjust the toe in a far as i can until they barely touch. i know its going to be too much and my quad is going to start darting all over the place, but i wanna ride this weekend, lol! I guess is going to have to be time for some a-arms :ermm: :D

I'd rather have a rim rub my a arm then have too much toe in

yea, but if i go to make a turn and my wheel locks up on the a arm and dave goes flying, dave isnt going to be too happy. ron, you saw me break 2 ribs that way down at creek road. :p
