I have a trx250ex and want to pull a trailer with it but i dont know how good that hole on the back of the diff will hold up. How much weight do you think it can hold?

I wouldn't try to build a hitch or rig up something. You can get a hitch for that quad. That would be the way to go.

THIS (http://www.heeters.com/atv-hitches.shtml) was the first hit when I did a google search for "250ex trailer hitch".

As far as weight. I wouldn't try to pull anything with more than 100 lbs of tongue weight.

What kind of trailer are you pulling?

thanks for the link, even with one of those hitches I still wouldn't be able to go over 100lbs?

That should be fine to pull. I put a sheperds hook in the little hole and I attached a rope to my wagon. I hook the rope to the hook. Then I put a 3-place atv trailer on the wagon (I have the wagon so there is not all that weight on my drive case) Works good.

The 100lbs. is only tongue weight(the amount of weight pushing down on the hitch. It will easily pull more than that. If you have a 4 wheeled wagon there will be almost no tongue weight on the hitch. I have moved my 1000lb. trailer around my yard(flat ground) with no problems at all although I wouldn't go that high through the woods. I'd guess it could easily handle 300-400lbs.
