no need to be triple rate either.

I dont think the price is so high on them , this price is for all 3 shocks . elka's track system will be twice that price.

Yea, but Elkas are a joke compared to these new axis shocks. Wait till you ride on one!

Wait till you ride the new elka's with the track system before saying they are a joke
:huh

but honestly, what is so different beside the titanium springs?

I know that titanium got a lower modulus of elasticity than steel, thus enabling the use of bigger and fewer coils to have the same spring rate, resulting in weight savings.

I know that unsprung weight is the enemy of correct suspension action and those ti springs can save about 1½ pounds per shocks and this is probably why they help the suspension to work better...

if anyone got a better answer to why they work better than cr-si steel springs, I would like to know why...

I forgot to add, you don't need triple rate, because ti springs have more travel than a cr-si steel spring of the same lenght, so you can use a slightly lower spring rate. This will result in soft suspension action in the beginning of the stroke of the shock, but with the same bottoming resistance than a higher spring rate steel spring.

The more I think about those new axis, the more I think that those new shocks will be the best shocks on the market. They offer the weight savings of the fox shocks with the precise valving control a shim stack piston design offer...

I even found a ti spring retailer... I may end up converting my front pep's to give those spring a try.... :macho

Just got off the phone with Custom Axis. The price for the front piggyback steel springs with high and low compression and rebound adjustment is $1795.00 Ti springs are $1995.00 Ouch!!
Just for reference their price for the old style is $1395.00 for the remote rezy with rebound and compression.

but all of these features come at a price of $2,322.50 for a complete front and rear Pro Package. that price says its for the front and rear ?
