how much compression for race gas

i have a 1986 trx250r with pep port work and head mod, i am pulling 210 puonds of comression. do you think i should use race gas? at what point in comp do you have to use race gas?

yep at least 110 especially on a 2 stroke. make sure you mix it with a good 2 stroke oil.

umm i would say probably once you get up around 190-200 you should be running race gas. try running the VP U2 race gas.

what do you guys think if using straight av gas? i have heard alot of ups and downs about using the av gas.

i havent really heard much about runnin that gas besided that it is a Leaded Gas. i dont know much else about it

i run Av gas in my R my bro runs it in his R and he ran it in his banshee befor that. the builder of the banshee engine actually recogmended it. i have heard peopel say av gas is no good for on ereason or another, but i have had no complaints. i only have around 190psi though and i dont know how high to go on av gas. its rated at 100 octane, but the octane rating for av gas is measured differently than, the other stuff. av gas has a rich octane rating of around 120. i say give it a shot and if it doesnt have any issues your good. its deffinatly the way to go, last time i bought it it wasnt any more expencive that the cheap pump gas.

if your lookin for cheap stuff defiinately do not run the VP U2. its like $60 for 5 gallons. :huh
