Plastic Color Fading

I'm looking into possibly buying an R sometime in the future and I was wondering what shows wear the most the black plastics or the red? I had a friend tell me that the black plastics would show more scratches, fading, and scuffs than the red plastics would. What do you guys think?

the black is gonna fade and show scratches alot easier.. thats why i went with red.

the best plastic to go with are light colors white / silver / yellow they will scratch and just loose shinyness but not look bad

both stock colors fade really bad, they turn a whiteish after hard use with time

but black does show scratches and gashes more
