Im putting together a 440 with a hotcams stage 3 or old stage 2 cam the sheet says the decompressio system cant always be re-used what do you do build a block off plate ?to cover the hole it will be 12.5 to1 will it be much harder to turn over or should that valve go back in with this cam?

any ideas would be much apreciated.

If I remember correctly all you have to do is remove the spring and plunger from the head, no block off needed. I may be misunderstanding your question:ermm:

Joex is right; you only remove the spring and plunger. Look beside your cam lobes and you will see a very small round piece stocking up about 1/8" This is the plunger and a small spring is underneath; take out both.

The Hotcams are set from factory with all required parts. The ONLY parts you need from stock cam is the cam sprocket the chain goes on and 2 allen head bolts that hold it to the flange.

Their is no way to attach the decomp to the Hotcams as the flange is already built into the cam nor needed.
