400EX Clutch

I have a 2001 400EX, not real sure if the clutch is actually slipping or the cable is stretched causing the clutch to engage all the way. I have no clue how to tell if the fibers are good or not. But it slips in 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, and 4th to 5th. Any help is appreciated.

how much lever freeplay do you have? you should have around 1/8 inch before you feel pick up on the clutch. if this is adjusted properly, it very well could be time for a clutch replacement.

try a new cluch cable they are cheap so...
