Well I am tearing my motor apart and When I took my piston off I had to beat the wrist pin out. It moved freely in the rod but was tight in the piston. Is this normal??

yes, that is very normal, before you place the new wrist pin in place pour some oil all around it. This helps out sometimes, but i would not reuse that wrist pin.
