View Full Version : brought a dead fly back to life.....

a few buddies and i went to eat at crackerbarrel. while there, i noticed a fly in my drink. :grr: i got another drink and didn't think much about it. when we were done eating i looked in the glass again and the fly was dead. i then remembered this trick.

i got the fly out, which was obviously drowned and dead. i then took a bunch of salt and poured all over it. then i just waited a few minutes, and it started twitching a little, then a little more....then i touched it and it got up and flew away :eek2: I'M GOD!!!!!!! :p lol j/k.....i'm not god :D

anyone else ever seen or done this?? pretty cool

yeah, slugs and salt, melt them, we used to have thousands of slugs outside of my house every night, then i moved like 1 mile away and haven't seen one in a looooooooong time, i used to pick up the slugs and people would freak out

i pick up wild snakes too and people freak out, lol


and if your swimming in a pool, and horseflys attack, let them land on you then hit them, if you hold them underwater with the clean net thing, they will live, we held it under for like 10-15 minutes, let it up and she flied away, just so you know

I heard that if you catch a fly and put them in a freezer they kinda die but then if you take them out and let them thaw they fly off. this link is pretty funny, never tried it so it might work. fly aircraft (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/flyaircraft.html)

ive done the bee on a string thing.. its very funny.. we used a "carpenter bee" the ones that eat/drill through wood


as for the fly, i dont think it drowned, i think it got cold in the drink, and once it was out and warmed up it woke up.. same thing with a bee in the freezer for 5 minutes

The chemical reaction with something cold to hot creates heat which most likely thawed the fly out if your drink was cold enough to freeze the fly in a state of motion.

Put salt on your arm and put a ice cube on it ;)

and eat it, it tastes soooooooooooooo good, then post back and tell us how good it tasted, you'll be amazed!
