Unfortunately, Honda won't be selling most of the mportant items in the kit separately.

Let us know how it runs quadracer, we will be waiting for your review.

I just checked Honda's inventory and they have alot of the HRC kits in stock I can get more in just a few days. Anyone that wants an HRC kit for their '06 should be able to get one now.

will do! i am racing a midsouth tomorrow so monday i will post how it done. i really hope this makes it start better. my honda shop called honda and they told them that the problem with starting with any throttle was the low end jet. hopefully all this carb work will fix that. dead engine starts suck when you cant give it and gas.

The one's that we have had in have started perfectly, but on the other hand that was with the choke on.

My 450 had been sitting for 13 days n today i went out, turned on the choke n it turned over for 1 or 2 seconds n started right up. It sat n idled for about 5 minutes without stalling. It is 60 degrees.. now i thought that was pretty damn impressive!

yeah mine always starts good. it just don't start with any throttle. ok if your not racing cross country with dead engine starts.

Awsome! felt like my old 330r. hit really hard and kept pulling. front wheels kept wanting to come up on me though. once i get my suspension i may be able to use the power i have. very nice kit and well worth the money.

Your not complaining about having too much power are you. If you are I'm going to have to smack ya:D

naw the power is awsome. ive just been spoiled on aftermarket suspension. as soon as i get my kfx's sold i will buy ARS-FX.

i did put a different pilot in it today. alot crisper. stock was 42 i put a 48 in it.

Did you have to re-shim the valves with the new cam?

Jonas

that seems a little rich on the slow jet, which slow jet was recommended for the HRC?

Ok...I picked up my hrc kit today and the header pipe is squished a little on the top and bottom at the bend that goes behind the frame. Does everyone else have this same squish? It's probly part of the bending process but I don't remember the stock one having it...and it's ugly. :ermm:

slow jet? if you mean what i call pilot. HRC didn't recomend changing it. but honda technical support to all honda dealers told my service manager to go 46 or 48.

yeah i had to get one shim for a exhaust valve. 217 was what mine needed. the stock one was close to clearance but i wanted it right on so it would be easier to start.

I can't believe that they recommended that big of a change in the pilot and didn't recommend it in the HRC kit??

Was that because it didn't run good after installation?

what honda recomended was before the HRC kit. to help starting. no the quad ran great after instalation but it runs better now. i am just trying to get it to start with some throttle. for GNCC purposes i wont to come off the line as fast as i can.

I went to my local honda dealer today and checked the quads out. They priced one to me for 6400 plus tax and 280 for the hrc kit. They had my color in stock as well (black). I also had a chance to ride a red one, I didn't give it time to warm up because I felt like I was being rushed. That stock pipe is quiet I mean quiet! I could tell it was alot more snappier than my 416, of course, hopefully I will be getting one soon.

quadracer12

yeah dealer cost is around $250 something

I forgot to mention that they had to jump start it:(
The ride felt soft and I got it out on the road and it came up in third gear, it still hadn't warmed up yet. The idle needed to be adjusted up because it was hard to keep running.
I'm wondering if just a pipe and jet kit would equal the hrc kit?
I'm sure the cam would make a big difference though.
Going today to try and sell my 416, everybody wish me luck and good riding to all.

not good to ride a new quad without it being warmed up properly

the 06's are really cold natured. and yeah my idle was set way low. you were talkin bout a pipe and a jet kit equaling a HRC kit. yeah you would just be short a cam but look at the price. what pipe and jet kit will you find for little more then $300. plus you get a cam.

Anyone with 06 hrc kit have any trouble adjusting their accelerator pump to hrc specs with tool provided?
